Introduction:
PU foam core board is closed cell polymer foam produced with polyurethane through a plastic extrusion process. It’s produced with polyurethane, blowing agent, nucleating agent, activator and fire retardant material. There are different types of PU foam for different application. It could be rigid, semi rigid and soft PU foam. The soft type is as buffer materials. The rigid PU foam sheet is used as insulation materials. And there are high density and low density PU foam. The open cell PU foam is used as filter plastic while the closed cell PU foam is used for buffer.
Features:
PU foam has some special features such as:
Sound absorbing
Heat insulation,
Light weight
Good plasticity
Waterproof
Fire retardant (self-extinguishing in 7 seconds)
Application:
PU foam core board can be widely used in automobile, refrigerator, aircraft, electrical appliances, model design and others. It can replace gypsum, wood, and others.
The rigid PU foam sheet is often used as insulation board in outer building wall, pipe, tank, refrigerator truck, frozen warehouse, etc.
The soft type is typically used as a shock absorber in packaging industry and accessories of auto fasteners, Sports or Marine floating products.
